Town of St. Paul to sue WCSB

I have a question.....I keep hearing sue sue sue but I NEVER hear exactly what the grounds for the suit would be........No doubt a lawer willing to take the money can be found but to what end?

I rember reading somewhere that the cost per student of running St Paul was close to $12000 per child where the rest of the county schools run between %6000 to $7500 IMHO if someone wanted to "SUE" to level the per child funding between schools that would have a legit shot (Expecualy considering an estamated 1/2 of those kids are out of county and are a drain on WC tax payers)

looking from St Pauls point of view, the SB was going to keep SP open under the 2 on 1 plan. what has changed? Sure the 2on1 plan there would have been 3 schools in the county and under this plan there would be 4 if they kept St Paul open but according to numbers thrown around, St Paul makes theirbottom line and doesn't cost the county anything to run. So why is it important now to close down a school that was ok to keep open just months ago?

That plan only worked if the other parts of the plan were fulfilled, that plan only kept SP open as a K-12, the numbers don't work in every scenario/plan that keeps SP open. They really screwed themselves anyway, as did the other two towns that an anti-consolidation. Really ridiculous they put this money aside to sue the board, which will cost the rest of the county who knows how much.

How the heck do you figure that? If State provides roughly 4.5K funding per student if St Paul is costing 12K per student to run then they are costing the County an arm and a leg

Actually it was Perry who originally said there was no need to close St. Paul because there was little or no cost involved. Would have cost more money to bus them.

I think that is what he said to justify leaving SP open while closing Appy and Pound in the 2on1 plan
